TerraScope Privacy Policy

TECHGURU ("we," "us," or "our") operates the TerraScope Chrome extension ("TerraScope"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use TerraScope.
Information We Collect
TerraScope collects no personal data.
- No account required. TerraScope does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or any contact information to use the core estimation features.
- No browsing history. We do not track, collect, or transmit your browsing history.
- No location tracking. While TerraScope displays satellite map imagery, your map positions and drawn boundaries are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
Subscription & Billing
If you purchase a TerraScope Solo or TerraScope Bundle subscription, payment is processed securely by Stripe. We receive only:
Your subscription tier (Solo or Bundle)
Your subscription status (active, trialing, cancelled)
A license identifier to unlock premium featuresWe do not receive or store your credit card numbers, bank details, or billing addresses. Those are handled exclusively by Stripe under their own privacy policy.
Data Stored Locally
TerraScope stores the following only on your device (using your browser's local storage):
Map tile cache for offline use
Your drawn project boundaries and estimates
App preferences (theme, units, default materials)This data never leaves your device except as described in the Subscription section above. Uninstalling the extension deletes all locally stored data.
Third-Party Services
- Esri World Imagery: TerraScope loads satellite map tiles from Esri's public imagery service to display maps. Esri may log standard web request data (such as IP addresses) under their own privacy policy.
- Stripe: Payment processing, as described above.
- Cloudflare Workers: Our license verification backend runs on Cloudflare Workers, which may log standard request metadata.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Children's Privacy
TerraScope is a professional tool for contractors and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
